Dear Baby Girl,
Wow! We’re in the 30s now. Crazy crazy… I’m definitely starting to feel it too. Bending over is a joke nowadays and so is sleeping through the night apparently. I think you only have to look at my 30 week picture to see some of the tiredness. However, taking these at 10:30 in the evening probably doesn’t help that haha
You seem to be doing well though! We have our visit with midwife tomorrow so I’m looking forward to hearing your heartbeat again. You’ve started getting the hiccups almost daily. Also, I think you and your brother are already competing with “who can be the busiest.” Damian still has you beat (only because he has the advantage of unlimited space,) but you’ve been moving and grooving in there A LOT. Any time I stop for a second, you give me a nice nudge or kick. At the end of the night, watching you dance around my belly is both very entertaining and a little weird all at once. The midwife taught me how to feel where your head (and rest of your body) is, so occasionally I try to see if I can figure out if it’s a leg or an arm that’s moving. It seems like you’re still not staying head down but are on some type of spinning around in circles kick. As long as you’re head down in the next 6 weeks, midwife isn’t going to worry. I’ve been doing inversions and more yoga trying to help you out a bit. I’m not sure if it really works though. Anyway, I figure the more cramped you get the less likely you’ll be to continue these circles you’re spinning in there.
As odd as this is going to sound, I realized recently that you’re going to be a girl and that means I get to do little girl things. The last 2.5 years of my life have been very guy-centric. Damian loves all things stereotypical boy, and while it’s a lot of fun (more fun than I ever imagined actually,) the thought of watching Cinderella instead of Cars made me really excited! You don’t have to be a girly-girl, but if you follow in the footsteps of most of the little girls I know, I’m fairly certain there will be some princess/ballerina/baby dolls in my future. Your Nana packed up my American girl doll for you the other day, and your Godmommy and I were discussing your first trip to Disney world today (and us all dressing up as princesses…) Needless to say, I’m happy to be having a daughter
Ok sister, it’s time for bed! I love you so, so much already!
